I may be a craven little coward, but I’m a *greedy* craven little coward. I just gotta have that five Gs! – Daffy Duck

To further the topic of war profiteering, there is the case of the Swiss banks profiteering from laundering stolen Nazi gold. The Swiss banks also hung on to the accounts of Jews who perished in the second world war. Eventually the Swiss banks succumbed to pressure and set up a fund to return the money to the victims of the Holocaust but the fund is less than the billions estimated the Swiss banks took in.

I’m glad you guys got into a little bit of the political and anti-religious stuff. A greed episode would have felt amiss without talking about something like blood diamonds. Did you know that there’s a rapper out there called MC 900 Foot Jesus, as a joke against Roberts?

    • Mondragonbreath says:

I didn’t know that’s where their name came from. Albeit, I’ve listened to very little of their work but liked what I heard.

  3. Amanda says:

I wanted to mention that when I visited the Vatican Museum there was an admission fee. The regular adult admission is 15 Euros now, but I don’t remember what it was when I visited. Also interesting is that there is only one way to go through the museum – like a one way street. I assume is to keep things flowing well because of all the visitors that come through. However, I was surprised to find that this pre-planned path leads you through several small gift shop areas and you have to go through each one. That always struck me as greedy.

  4. Jason says:

Wow. How did I get this far behind in my Soda Jerk listening duties?

Has anyone suggested Brewster’s Millions for inclusion in a follow-up to this ep?

  5. curtis says:

Montana Max from Tiny Toon Adventures was an embodiment of greed. He even does a song cover:
