Followups / Year One Poll

Has it really been a year already? Kevin, Joe and Toren are joined by Australia’s Steve Parker for a look back at our first year of podcasting. We’ll see what your favorite episodes were, as well as the grossest, and hardest to get through and funniest bits as well as followups for Iraq War through Seven Deadly Sins.

  1. HEY! I live in a city with the most churches and it is Canada’s murder capital! I guess you know what it takes to host a follow up episode! Get on it potential hosts.

Nice work Parker. Looks like I’ll need to step up my game if I want to host the next follow up!

    banks!

  3. Dammit, I forgot about the poll! Sorry, guys.

I would love it if you did a vampire episode.

    1. I’m thinking Vampire’s or Ghosts (special guest: Stewie) for the Hallowe’en episode – some distance off I’m afraid.

      1. Ghosts. I don’t know Stewie’s Vampire knowledge but the man is definitely a shoe in for Ghosts based entirely on the fact he runs a Ghostbusters page.

  4. I am back in campbell River now but I spent the last year in Australia for an exchange. My friends always told me Australia was the fattest nation and I would strongly disagree. There was the odd fat person but the magority of the public was fit and hug out at the beach. So I am still skeptical of anyone telling me Australia is fat. I would even say Canada is fatter.

    1. I would agree with Tyler. I was in Coolangatta last year and I have never witness such a high concentration of good looking fit people in my life.

  5. There was never a post-mortem done on my Grandfather, who died suddenly after abdominal distress, but I believe that he died because of impacted bowels. I am sure it was never like MEGA COLON but he did have a prominent, hard stomach. Maybe only pregnant with one baby instead of triplets.

  7. I am now up to the Explosions podcast and I’ve noticed that Kevin likes to say “Here’s the thing…”

  9. I also forgot about the poll, which I feel especially bad about since you mentioned my Greed comment in the podcast. I’m absolutely ecstatic about that. So here’s my own review of the past year’s episodes:

I started listening to the podcast in early February of this year and have loved every episode. The Muppets theme is brilliant, the news intro is hilarious, and all the topics are interesting. The shows are well edited and you guys have a wonderful chemistry that should be evident to anyone listening. I wouldn’t change a thing because you and the show are all sorts of awesome right now.

Have you guys heard about the Piers Gibbon TV special on cannibalism?

    1. Oh, and I was going to say that I always keep a pen and paper handy when listening, because I know you’ll talk about something I want to learn more about, a book I want to get, or a movie I want to watch.

  10. Now that banana slug sex was brought up, that gives me an excuse to link the leopard slug sex video again:
